What to Expect:
The first step is to contact me.  We will have a free initial phone consultation where I can evaluate your needs and answer your questions. Our first session together will be a new patient interview and will last approximately 50-60 minutes.  We will have an in-depth discussion about the reasons you are seeking therapy, your relevant history, current symptoms, and your unique strengths.   At the conclusion of our first session, we will determine whether or not I am the most suitable therapist to meet your therapeutic needs.  If we agree that we are a good fit together, I generally schedule a 45-minute therapy session every other week or as needed to help you reach your therapy goals.

My Approach:
I understand that you are a unique individual and tailor therapy sessions according to your needs, strengths, and learning style.  I use a variety of therapeutic and evidence-based treatments such as: Psycho-Dynamic, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory, Jungian Psychology, Solution-Focused Therapy, Interpersonal, and Family Systems Therapy.
Research has proven that these therapies are effective treatments for mood disorders
