Welcome to my private practice website. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the fields of social work and psychotherapy. I work with adults only. I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety, phobias, trauma, relationship issues, personal growth, and adjustment to life transitions. I have a special interest in working with young adults who feel stuck; and with senior citizens in life review.
I received a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of California, Berkeley and am licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (LCS #26722). I have worked in psychiatry and behavioral health clinics as a therapist as well as, ran a private practice in Menlo Park and Palo Alto, CA. I have worked for Stanford Health Care and Stanford Medical School as a medical social worker and consulting psychotherapist. Additionally, I have worked for the Department of Public Health counseling women and children. I am a well rounded therapist with a diverse background.
In addition to therapy, I provide clinical supervision for Associate Clinical Social Workers (ACSW) and clinical consultation to mental health professionals.
I attend continuing education classes, seminars, and conferences to further enhance my professional skills and to stay current with evidence based treatments. I emphasize Positive Psychology; Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT); Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Attachment Theory; and Jungian Psychology in my practice.
Additionally, I have experience facilitating and leading groups such as: Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and Mind Over Moods CBT Basics.
